Just a little shot of what I am currently working on. It's going to be entered into the Blender Guru photo-realism contest. The thing is, I am using Blender's internal render engine that has no GI, so it's even more of a challenge. This is hardly done, and I plan on doing some heavy compositing, and avoiding post-pro work of any kind in GIMP. Anyone interested in the contest should go here: [link] Best of luck to all who enter!!
Oh, my!! Were all those pictures at your the Blender-Guru link made in Blender, like all the women's faces and the tractor farm things?! That is so awesome if they are!! Does it take a long time to make those pictures? I am looking at your picture and I don't understand anything you just said about internal engines and GI compositing. I don't understand technical things, not yet. But it sounds really cool and your picture is amazing. It's like the kobalt picture, it's like a photograph. You guys are professionals?
Thank you! No, those were made in other programs like ZBrush, but totally possible in Blender. I'm not a pro either, I just do this for fun. How long it takes to make a 3-D picture really depends on how much you have to model and how complex of a scene you have. Making something simple like an object on a floor doesn't take long at all, and renders very quickly.
Ok, maybe I'll try it. Masha said she would download it for me and set it up. I won't have time for awhile though because I have to finish my Zelda pictures for Levi and binz is making me a DOF tutorial so that I can learn how to use it in Studio. I like pictures with DOF. Thank you for the link.
